Days like today,
when veins are bruised and blown from cannulations,
when smile is bright and wide to hide the misery
of stupid little sodding hurts
that make me want to cry…
My mom has been gone 10 years (ovarian cancer) and I still miss her every day. Some days it’s a subtle ache, other days it’s nearly physical. I understand.
